California state law concerning trust inheritance accounts

I have been married 26 years and while my husband always assured me that I would be taken care of in my retirement years with his inheretence of his parents, we are looking at divorce and he has everything in a trust acc in his name only!

Do I have any legal rights to this being that california is a 50 50 state. Building a retirement of my own was never possible due to raising our children. He was able to work for the state of california for 18 years and build his retirement and now he doesn't want our marriage and i am not able to survive on my social security and disability.

Answer: Hello, keep in mind this is not legal advice

According to CAdivorcemediation.com "If you are lucky, your spouse will agree to mediate your divorce, and you will enter into negotiations regarding the amount and duration of support, as well as the division of your assets and debts."

Tney also state "Without a prenuptial agreement, you are subjecting yourself to the property division and support scheme created by the State of California."
