Hurt at hardware store, want to sue for personal injury

I was needing information from people who know about personal injury cases. I live in Colorado and went to a local hardware store to pick up some stuff. While I was looking at their shovels, I picked one up to look at it and the shovel behind it came falling out.

It ended up hitting me in my left eye really hard. I told the cashier that there are too many shovels stocked in that one small area. I let her know that I got hit in the eye by one of them but didn't press much about it. The very next day I had a swollen black eye like someone punched me. It was very painful for days and I was so embarrassed to go to work looking like that.

Even though I didn't demand to talk to the manager, can I still receive some sort of compensation for this? It really upset me that I had to experience this. I don't think it's my fault since they had so many shovels jammed in there. Thanks in advance for any help.
