Maryland Restricts Handheld Mobile Phones for Drivers and Requires Drivers to Move Over

Maryland passed two new laws that change the rules of the road. The first law is the "move over" law. The second restricts when drivers can use a handheld mobile phone. This article explains these two new laws.

Two new traffic laws in Maryland took effect on October 1, 2010. If a driver violates these new laws and causes an accident, that driver can be held responsible for any injuries he causes.
