My Neighbor Is Constantly Harassing My Kids and Threatening Lawsuits

Hi, I have a situation that is stressing me and my kids out. I am a single mother and I live in a large apartment complex. One of my neighbors is an older lady who apparently has lived here for some time. I am a minority and she is a white lady. I normally wouldn't jump to conclusions but our other neighbors who can't stand her say that she has a pattern of racial harassment.

For example, she only gives my kids and a few of the other minority children in this complex a hard time. My son and daughter have white friends here and even they say that she is a racist. She never gives the white kids any trouble but always accuses the minority kids of various things.

It's really sad because all the kids and adults get along even though there are different races and cultures here.

The other day was the final straw when she posted a nasty letter on my door saying that she tripped over my son's bike in the courtyard. She says she hurt her wrist and to expect a lawsuit. This is crazy as all the bikes from everyone in the complex are locked up in the same place in the courtyard. My son would never leave his bike laying around unlocked. I don't even think she knows which one is his since there are so many from all the kids here.

I have never hired a lawyer for something like this and I'm dreading it. My landlord said they don't want to get involved and won't evict the lady even though no one here likes her. What steps should I take to handle this? Thank you
