Salmonella Poisoning - Is it possible to file a personal injury claim?

Just checking to see if it is even possible to sue because of salmonella poisoning. My husband got extremely sick last week to the point we had to take him to the emergency room.

This ended up lasting for days and we were all very worried about it. Thank god he is OK now but he doesn't want to pursue a personal injury claim because he thinks it's not possible. I'm thinking and telling him that he has a legitimate case. Especially since this is probably going to cost us a lot of money with the medical expenses.

How do we get the ball rolling to put together a lawsuit?
